This is the first of many fitness videos that lays the foundation for my 100 pound fitness journey as a 53 year old dad! In this video we talk about my first 50 pounds of weight loss and how I accomplished this stage 1. I am now in stage 2 and that goal is 220 lbs and I am at 229 lbs today. Stage 3 is to get to 210 lbs which I have not weighed since 1990! After I reach stage 3 I will then evaluate if I maintain or lose more! Throughout this journey, the main goal is not to lose any lean muscle, which is difficult to do in a calorie deficit if you do not focus on high quality Proteins! The carnivore diet and keto education absolutely was key for my first 50 pounds lost! Not too mention this helped with me with avoiding diabetes and high sugar and insulin sensitivity!! I am also off all meds, including High Blood Pressure and my cholesterol is back to near perfect!
Some key products that have helped me along my journey are the MapMyFitness and the MyPlate apps on my iPhone. The MapMyFitness is an excellent app to keep track of my distances walked, number of steps and estimated calories burned. The MyPlate app is how I track my calories, along with my Fats, Carbs and Proteins.
