This piece is from a very large manuscript collection known as D.D.2.11 in the Cambridge University Library, dating probably from the last decade of the XVI century.
Francis Cutting (ca.1550 – 1595/1596) was an English lutenist and composer during the Renaissance period. He is best known for "Packington's Pound" and a variation of Greensleeves called "Divisions on Greensleeves", both pieces originally intended for the lute.
