East of Torquay lies Babbacombe Beach. A beautiful arc of shingle beach, this unspoilt coastline is a haven of tranquillity, gorgeous views and calm, clean waters where you can relax and soak up the atmosphere. While you’re here don’t forget to take a gentle stroll along the Downs, whose claim to fame is that it’s the highest promenade in England.
If you’re a keen angler or if you simply fancy having a go, head to the breakwater and see what you can reel in. Alternatively, why not try your hand at sailing?
