I slowed down the feeding of the babies to 1/3 normal speed as this happens so quickly. After waiting for a short while, the mother picks up a fecal sac as the baby is excreting it, then swallows it. The mothers do this when the babies are young because they do not digest the food well and there is lots of nutrition left in it.
