The weekend of the 18th-21st of April, saw the Severn Valley Railway’s hold its annual ‘Spring Steam Gala' event.
Star guest locomotives included from the Bluebell Railway was LBSCR Terrier No. 72 'Fenchurch' which put in some fine performances on the Hampton Loade locals, lSouth Devon Railway’s unique outside cylinder Pannier Tank No. 1369 as las minute replacement for the resident Port Talbot ‘Saddle Tank’ No. 813. The final operational guest was the Lambton Colliery Tank No. 29 from the North Yorkshire Moors Railway as-well as recently overhauled BR(E) ‘A2’ No. 60532 ‘Blue Peter’ which was on static display at Kidderminster in between its test runs on the SVR completed the line up of guest engines.
Recently out shopped resident Stanier Mogul 13268 was sporting a fresh coat of LMS Lined Black although sadly I did not see this locomotive die to it have issues on Saturday.
