Bulbophyllums may not be the simplest orchids to grow.They need high humidity and constantly moist environment to grow.They appreciate good airflow around the media and mount.I love mounting my bulbophyllums with a lot of moss on the mount .This way they get their good airflow,their moisture and lot of space .These don't like frequent repotting .so make sure to choose a mount or pot that is large enough to accommodate atleast few years of growth.

I choose to use styrofoam as a mounting material because-
1) recycling of waste
2)durable
3)light weight..so large mount can be hung easily
4)easy to work with
5)easily available
Bulbophyllum vaginatum is a warm growing epithytic bulbophyllums.which loves high humidity and warm temperature and good air flow
The flowers are numerous , tiny yellow blooms that look like fire works.They can bloom 2-3times a year.From summer to early winter .
The fruits of this orchid , along with few others Is used to prepare indigenous medicines used for treating earache.
