I was really curious about Aquila 60gr Super Sniper. I very heavy and long round nose bullet in what is essentially a short case. After much research I decided to acquire some and test them in a few different riffles. The 60gr bullet really needs a 1/9 twist barrel to properly stabilize the bullet, or you could have some luck with a traditional 1/16 twist barrel of 20 inches or longer. Both of these rifles, Savage MKII TR and CZ 455 Varmint has a 20inch or longer tube. Interesting enough I was sent 2 boxes of the old Blue and Grey box and two boxes of the new white and blue box. The blue and grey box shot extremely well in the CZ455 on the first outing. Since the first outing or the one box, this ammunition has proven to be inconsistent with the rounds keyholing or hitting the target sideways at 50 yards.
Many suppressor manufacturers do not warranty work if used with this ammunition due to the high likely of baffle strikes and potential damage.
I am not particularly impressed with this ammunition. I have tried it in
CZ455 Varmint
Savage MK II TR
Ruger American Rimfire
CZ 455 Trainer
In the longer barrel of the Trainer the large heavy weight seems to stabilize but accuracy is still poor. I really wanted this ammunition to work out for it's hard hitting down range energy capability on small varmints.
Though I did not try this ammo in a semi auto rifle like a 10/22. I believe the length of the case 22 short -- you would just be asking for trouble in ejecting the spent cases.
I will use the rest of the ammo in a couple of threaded 22 pistols to see if it performs any better.
Previous video of this ammo different box different lot number it was impressive. FF to the end of the video [ Ссылка ]
