FEP BLUE FOCUS UPDATE: There is a $500.00 deductible for Blue FEP Focus. I talked to a Blue Cross Representative, and they told me there is a $500.00 deductible before services start. This information goes against the interactive Flip that is on the link above. The interactive Flip shows "nothing" for Doctor's visits, surgery, lab services and other things. The tiny print on the page is quite unreadable. With a magnifying glass, I was able to see the following: "Under FEP Blue Focus your regular FEP will apply until you meet your annual FEP deductible. The deductible only applies to specific services." I do not know, yet, what those specific services are. I am changing to FEP Blue Focus from GEHA High Option. I will save over $750.00 next year even though GEHA High Option pays a $1,000.00 annual Part B reimbursement. If I had to pay the deductible, I would still save about $250.00. For current BCBS Basic enrollees, you would save a little over $100.00 if you had to pay the $500.00 Deductible.

This starts to explain why Medicare disadvantage Plans are bad for Retirees and bad for America.
The main purpose of these videos is to make YOU research Medicare and the FEHB/PSHB changes for your situation. The old adage, "I can lead you to the well, but I can't make you drink" applies here. I am giving you useful information and updates. Research these things for yourself. I cannot touch on EVERY scenario. Post pertinent comments. We need to share this information so all of us do the right thing. Since this situation is rapidly changing, things said in these videos may change and, while accurate as possible at the time of posting, may become outdated later.
Open Season (2023) ends December 11, 2023. This is needed information for Postal (and Federal) Retirees. If you have any questions, please put them in the comments section and I will answer them and use those for future videos. I am going to be putting more videos on here about this subject so you will want to subscribe to my channel which is already for the 50+ crowd.

That video tells you how deductibles and co-pays work. It also shows you how PPO's and HMO's work. It is a very informative video. Please learn more about your Health Insurance. Do not go by the ads and promotions. Learn. Theses videos are from my research and experiences and to talking to other Retirees. You should research for your own situation.
Please subscribe to my channel (designed with the 50+ crowd in mind). My plan is to post videos with information as soon as I find out about changes. And, as always, on any YOUTUBE video you watch, if you like the video, give it a thumbs up.
Take a little time to LEARN. A couple of hours learning is more important than watching a reality show or reruns of The Edge of Not! ; )
