England suffered yet more penalty heartache at the hands of Germany, this time in the Under-21 ranks.
The Young Lions were beaten on spot kicks by their German counterparts in Poland in the semi-final of the European Championship.
After 120 minutes, the two sides could not be separated. With the score tied at 2-2 they headed for penalties and, well, you know the rest.
Davie Selke gave Germany the lead in the first half but Demarai Gray quickly responded for England.
Tammy Abraham then fired the Young Lions ahead after the break before substitute Felix Platte sent the game into an extra half an hour.
