Hey guys, today I’m going to show you the adapter you need to install when your steerer tube is too short.
I have two stem riser adapters, one is 1 1/8" x 25.4mm and the other one is 1 1/8” x 22.2mm.
These adapters are being used to convert the old threaded forks from 1” quill stem to 1 1/8” threadless stem.
If the diameter of the steerer tube is 25.4mm, the 25.4mm adapter is not going to fit. You need the 22.2mm adapter to fit into the 25.4mm steerer tube.
Simply put that in and tighten the top bolt.
The extender will increase the length of the steerer tube by 2 inches (50mm).
