Join us as we set up a 3D weave with an FD-series OTC DAIHEN robot. For this example, the setup is a "christmas tree" weave, combining a side-to-side weaving motion with an up-and-down weaving motion.
The weld path is created from 2 points: 1 point at the bottom of the joint and 1 point at the top of the joint. The weaving condition, as set up through the teach pendant, forms the resultant 3D-shaped weave while traveling between those 2 points.
