On December 21 I used my smartphone to film the Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in the night sky. You can see how the sky looked like. The conjunction of the 2 planets shone as a single star in the sky. They began to be visible in the sunset, and were the only visible "star" for a period of time. The smartphone was still able to capture the two planets has independent entities besides them being the closest.

Tonight Saturn and Jupiter were the closest in the "Great Conjunction" of 2020 (it was the closest visible conjunction since 1226). It's also known as "The Christmas Star".
