This female Grey Peacock Pheasant was videoed, drinking, from a hide near Kaeng Krachan National Park in Thailand. Grey Peacock Pheasant, Polyplectron bicalcaratum, is a very secretive bird that lives in the forests along the border of Thailand and Myanmar. Usually birdwatchers can only hear the call of the male Grey Peacock Pheasant unless they have a very lucky experience and actually see it. However, at this waterhole, near Kaeng Krachan, this bird occasionally comes out to feed and drink, particularly when the weather has been hot and dry for a long time.
