Old DVD drive motors revisited ADDENDUM. There is a discussion thread running on one of my old videos regarding the stepper motors I had taken from an old CD/DVD drive. To give some extra detail I had a look in my junk box and found another drive assembly and now we have some close up detail to view. I have added this short extra video because I also found a drive assembly which has a normal brushed DC motor so we can see the difference. The previous video is here [ Ссылка ] The original video being discussed is here - Things you can make from an old DVD drive #2 - Step a stepper motor [ Ссылка ]
If you have a question it is probably worth reading this video description first because the answer may already be here. To help you find my videos I made two search guides [ Ссылка ] or [ Ссылка ] or checkout my playlists page [ Ссылка ]

Generally my projects are for my grandchildren to enjoy. OK, I enjoy them too. If anybody else likes them, that is a bonus. I like to keep my work as simple and basic as possible so that it can be copied easily and improved by anybody who wants to try themselves. I recycle or repurpose items rather than buy new and when I do buy I like to keep it cheap.
