In statements to NJ Spotlight News, neither Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin nor Sen. President Nick Scutari committed to posting the bills in Gov. Phil Murphy's latest gun safety package for a vote. Coughlin added that New Jersey needs to “look to strengthen gun safety laws.” Scutari said he would “keep an open mind on any additional actions that will reduce gun violence.”
