The Active Safety brake on your Citroën C5 Aircross SUV is an emergency brake. It is available according to the versions. The camera placed at the top of windscreen detects possible obstacles and there are three warning stages. At stage 1, the driver is informed of a collision risk, with an orange alert symbol on and the message “vehicle near”. At stage 2, the driver is informed with a red alert symbol and the message: “slow down! ”; Stage 3: if the driver does not slow down after alarm, emergency braking starts automatically. If necessary, automatic braking can bring the vehicle to a complete stop. The system is reactivated automatically when it is restarted.
