Danielle Westcott was one of only a few women in her trade when she joined the Royal Canadian Navy as a Boatswain. Despite the “old school” attitudes and male-dominated atmosphere at the time, she kept pushing forward.
She remustered to Medic and attended civilian paramedic school. She was eventually medically released from the CAF due to a spinal injury and a PTSD diagnosis.
Despite her physical limitations, Danielle still likes to channel her inner Goggins at the gym, and has recently found a passion for archery. She hopes to compete at the next Invictus Games.
