As of 2019, the MTA proposed a new Diamond F Train route that runs express in Brooklyn from Jay Street to Church Avenue along the Culver line, making a stop at 7th Avenue. It’s funny being that a few months before it happened, I made a video talking about how the MTA can make a service where the F runs via Culver Express and restoring the Bergen Street Lower Level. Instead of F Trains running local-express-local-express during the peak direction, F Trains fully express during the peak direction, G trains being sent to Kings Highway or Avenue X during the rush being extended to 10 cars a weekday rather than 5, or ofc, restoring Bergen Street, none of that happened. Instead, only 4 trains run express in the peak direction. 2 in each direction. Here’s one in the PM rush headed to Coney Island at Jay Steeet Metrotech.
Filmed on February 10th 2023 as a video for my bestie’s little brother who’s into trains, and even my channel :) (This reminds me, I hope I can get back to Munipals videos soon)
