Air passengers flying out of the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi have been complaining of crowd build up and longer than usual queues at every stage of the departure process. The peak travel season has exposed some of the processes at India's busiest airport. Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia went on a surprise spot inspection earlier today to take stock of the situation and suggest an action plan to ease crowds. Tamanna Inamdar discusses why such queues have been building up, especially given that passenger traffic is around 95% of pre-covid levels. However now the situation at the airport has eased much better as compared to the earlier. The queue at the gate of Airport has been reduced.
