Today we’re live in the field with of marvel rivals, in all of its fully released glory and before we get the thick layers of glaze I’m about to spew I’m just gonna set the record straight again, I am not paid to talk about this game, I haven’t laundered money for this game, I don’t even have much money in my bank account (please subscribe), and I most certainly didn’t see the emails netease sent me inviting me to try out the new heros early until just yesterday jesus christ.

Which brings us here, on launch day, because this ruggedly handsome reporter has some hard-hitting questions to ask like…
is this launch a success?
is THIS the overwatch killer?
does squirrel girl have nuts?
Is Marvel Rivals a clone?
is there still milk in blizzards fridges?
Is wolverine the best character in the game?
why do all bisexuals go support?
is the monetization greedy?
will this game pull a helldivers 2 or xdefiant (and fall off)?

Well after putting 15 hours in the past 48 since launch I can say some pretty good authority, this has been one of the best launches a multiplayer game has had in years. In just the first few hours 400k people were playing on PC alone so this game is easily sitting at a million players cross platform right now but the craziest part of that is outside not being able buy stuff in the shop the first like hour, the servers have been great. I will say on PC, performance is kinda rough at moments but the fact I have not had a single lobby issue while this game is so flooded rn if you sneeze on the play button you’d get put into a lobby, I am just blown away at the witchcraft going on under the hood.
The play tests paid off but how is the game? the characters? the balancing? is jeff okay?
