The 2016 Toyota Prius is the most efficient gas powered car (without a plug) sold in America. With millions of older models on the road, Toyota is banking on owners trading in for this new model. Under the hood is a 1.8 liter engine paired with an electric motor that together net 54 MPG in the City and 50 MPG on the highway.
