The family of Lina Khil is preparing to mark another birthday without her.
Lina has been missing for over a year now and Monday marks her fifth birthday.
A vigil will be held at 1 p.m. today at the former Villas del Cabo Apartments off Fredericksburg Road where Lina disappeared on Dec. 20, 2021. The apartments have since been renamed Vive Apartments and are a gated community.
A special age progression drawing will be unveiled at the vigil.
Fox San Antonio's Yami Virgin connected Eagles Flight, the non-profit organization helping keep Lina's story in the news, with world-renowned forensic artist Lois Gibson, who recently retired from the Houston Police Department. She draws the faces of criminals, the missing and deceased to help give them justice.
"My sketches have solved 1,266 faces, but I've gotten back four infants that were kidnapped," she said. "Got somebody, somebody give us a tip. We gotta get her back because I know what the parents feel like a little bit."
