The next Grand Prix is the Special Cup, and this is the first time the Special Cup has been available from the start of the game, because in other Mario Kart games, the Special Cup would be an unlockable cup.
I use Yoshi in this one, and he is a lightweight character in this game, and the courses for this one are DK's Jungle Parkway, which is written as D.K.'s Jungle Parkway, I want to say this is the only game where Donkey Kong's name is displayed as "D.K.", because in later games, his name would be "DK".
The other courses are Yoshi Valley, Banshee Boardwalk, and Rainbow Road. Yoshi Valley is my least favourite track in Mario Kart 64, because the racers are replaced by question marks, and there are separate paths, I find the main path to be the most reliable, the leftmost path is very narrow, and I prefer taking that route in Mario Kart 8 compared to this game.
As with Rainbow Road, this is one of my favourite songs in Mario Kart 64, and that is the longest track in the game at 2000 meters, and it takes at least 2 minutes per lap. This track has rails throughout the track, the only obstacle to watch out for is the Chain Chomp, and I do like how there are neon-lights on all the playable characters in Mario Kart 64, as well as Boo and a Mushroom. You can skip half of the course by taking a hop to the left, but it can tricky to get off.
