Last week, a group of 12 Juniors and Seniors attended an intensive one-day biomedical engineering workshop at Harvard Medical School.
The experience began with a patient diagnosis of a slipped disc, then students moved on to engineer and code their own surgical robots, improving upon currently used technology.
Finally, the students successfully trained their robots' Al systems to identify tumors.
The program culminated in students performing simulated surgical procedures using their newly developed robotic systems.
