Opposition MPs Manipur Visit News Updates: The MPs of the opposition bloc INDIA, who is on a two-day visit to strife-torn Manipur, visited several areas of the state and relief camps on Saturday. The MPs met Governor Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhawan today. They would submit a memorandum to her on the basis of the things that they have observed, Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi had said. The delegation of 21 MPs of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) is in Manipur to assess the ground situation. Meanwhile, the BJP has hit out at the Opposition and has called their visit a "photo session" and "political tourism". Violence broke out in Manipur on May 3 after a 'Tribal Solidarity March' was organised in the hill districts to protest against the Meitei community's demand for Scheduled Tribe (ST) status, killing over 160 people since then, and injuring hundreds.
