The Chicago White Sox win their first World Series since 1917 in this WMVP ESPN 1000 radio call. John Rooney and Ed Farmer were the soundtrack to my summer in the early 2000s. Highlights include Freddy Garcia bases loaded K, Willie Harris leadoff 1B & eventual World Series winning run, Jermaine Dye GW RBI, Juan Uribe going Super Saiyan with a backhanded play to maintain the lead and also going into the stands better than Derek Jeter. And the final two pitches with an emotional call by John & Ed. "Enjoy the celebration, Chicago. This is *long* overdue." Bravo.
