BR Large Logo "Tractor" 37407 "Blackpool Tower" heads south through Bamfurlong on the afternoon of Wednesday 31st March 2021. The Class 37 was working the return leg of a light engine run from Crewe to Carlisle & back. Remarkably barely 10 minutes after this locomotive passed another BR Large Logo locomotive followed it with 47593 also returning to Crewe on a light engine run from Aberdeen. Certainly the first time I have seen two BR Large Logo engines out on the mainline on two separate unrelated workings in many years, for those who want to see the "Duff" - it's coming up tomorrow as I've got to keep the EE vs Sulzer fans separate ;)
I was delighted to get this shot as I only have one other shot of this locomotive since it was overhauled a few years ago and that was when it was on the rear of a test train last year, so in other words a fairly naff shot.
The official working was;
