(18 Jan 2014) Anti-government demonstrators in Bangkok on Saturday protested inside the national police headquarters compound.
The venue has seen a number of tense stand-offs in the past few weeks, but on Saturday the police opened the gates and let protesters in.
The demonstrators did not enter the police building, but instead they stayed outside and listened to speeches.
The protest movement, the People's Democratic Reform Committee, see the police as supporting the government, and have clashed since the demonstrations began gathering momentum late last year.
The movement calls for the removal of Thailand's prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra, claiming she benefits from a corrupt political system which must be reformed.
Her party won a general election in 2011 by a convincing majority.
Her opponents haven't won an election since 1992.
