In May 2023, press freedom advocates and journalists traveled across the globe to mark the 30th annual World Press Freedom Day in New York with meetings at the UN General Assembly, The New York Times, and the Knight Foundation Press Freedom Center. At CPJ, our work continues far beyond that one important day — journalists continue to report, and we remain committed to protecting them.
