The compilation includes 16 unreleased studio tracks.
Of which only 4 songs are real including a collaboration with Rob Hallford, the other 4 songs correspond to Dimebag Darrell as a soloist, and the remaining 8 are from Phil Anselmo's alternative bands, 7 correspond to Superjoint Ritual
and 1 to Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals.
Supposedly those 12 songs were part of Pantera but they were never recorded. That is why the album is called The Ghost Tracks. Because they are ghost songs since they do not exist but at the same time they do not exist because they were not recorded with the entire band.
