This is my Little Engines 1863 American 4-4-0 7-1/2” 1:8 scale live steam locomotive. The original build took 4 years from start to finish.
This is the boiler check valve and water feed system. Water feed injector, worthington water feed pump rebuild. Check valve bore tool. Using a “D” shape bit to cut a perfect level bottom of the boiler check clack valve. This D bit then allows for the clack (ball) to make a perfect seal naturally just by back pressure on the line.
This test was running on air with approx 80 psi. Normal steam operation is at about 110 psi with the safety at 129 psi.
