Nepal's last king Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah along with his family paid obeisance at Golden Temple in Amritsar on Thursday.
On his maiden visit, Gyanendra offered “karah parshad”, “rumala” and Rs1 lakh at the gurdwara.
SGPC chief secretary Roop Singh apprised him of illegal encroachment of nearly 500 acres of gurdwara land in Kathmandu.
The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
