Gambia's president-elect has dismissed Yahya Jammeh's rejection of the country's election results. Adama Barrow said Jammeh had no constitutional authority to call for another election. The head of the Electoral Commission, Alieu Momarr Njai has yet to make a statement. Jammeh's surprise reversal late Friday, sparked outrage among Gambian citizens, who celebrated what they thought was a smooth power transition after the December 1 vote. Officials from the ruling party say Jamme will challenge the poll result before the Supreme Court. Barrow called on the outgoing president to help with a smooth transition in the interest of the tiny West African country.
