In this episode of The Newshour Debate, host Navika Kumar will discuss how about 20 opposition party leaders, including those from the Congress, AAP, and TMC, will gather on a stage in Patna on June 23 to show their solidarity. The opposition leaders, many of whom had previously engaged in verbal combat, would be discussing areas of agreement to unite against the BJP in the national elections in 2024. MK Stalin, the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, said on Tuesday that he will attend the opposition parties' summit, which would take place on Friday in Patna, Bihar. At the ceremony at Tiruvarur to launch projects honouring the late DMK president M Karunanidhi, Stalin gave a speech. Tejashwi Yadav, the deputy chief minister of Bihar, was also present. On June 23, Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, will call a gathering of the opposition parties to organise the opposition against the government ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The gathering, which aims to prepare the atmosphere for like-minded Opposition parties to unite against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP-led government at the Centre, was initially slated to take place on June 12.
