I live in Chicago and to travel between River North, West Loop, Uptown, Bucktown, Lincoln Park and Millenium Park, it can be costly if I rely on Uber. So, I decided to get the annual Divvy subscription for $100, which is worth the price. In the 6 weeks I have used it, I have travelled almost 200 miles over 70+ sessions.
But..I definitely get sweaty and worn out from biking long distances. Not complaining, but when I am playing tennis, I want to be fresh. So, I decided to try out the electric scooters in the Chicago trial program. It costs $1 to start riding it and it costs $.15 per minute. The scooter where you can sit down, it's $1 to start riding and $.25 per minute.
I did a lot of research and was willing to spend 2-5x the amount of a base scooter. I came across the Boosted Rev, which costs $1600. It's well marketed and well know, but I wanted to know which electric scooter was the best for around the $1000-$1500 range. Someone in the Instagram comments of the Boosted profile mentioned the Mini Motors Speedway Mini IV 4 PRO.
I spent 2 weeks deciding on which electric scooter to get and finally arrived on the one I mentioned above. Here's the link below:

After I ordered the scooter, Cooper from California called in to let me know they didn't have the black color I ordered, but had the white one if I was willing to take a $50 credit. His customer service was A+. Thanks for the call, man.
