We went to Lisbon and decided to spend a weekend following TimeOut Lisbon Magazine's advice on where to go and what to do in the Chiado neighborhood. Really, I wanted an excuse to get to Livraria Bertrand and the magazine article gave it to me :-)

1. Tour Igreja São Roque! It's free. There's an art museum attached to it that is not. The art museum was closed on the day we went, so we focused all of our attention on the gorgeous church.

2. Drink uma bica (a small coffee similar to a ristretto) at A Brasileira.

3. Shop at Louie Louie record store.

4. Buy books at the oldest operating bookstore in the world, Livraria Bertrand.

5. Enjoy a cocktail and stunning views at Topo Chiado.

6. Stop in for a sip at Salla Bar.

7. Dine at By The Wine, considered one of Lisbon's most beautiful bars.

8. Lunch at Barrio do Avillez.

9. Grab a sweet bite at Pastelaria Bernard.

10. Eat a Pastel de Nata at Mantegaria.
