Adam: What's going on everybody, Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Titan Chain, cable snow tire chain on our 2020 Chevy Silverado. So what we have here, is a ladder pattern style chain. That's just because we have a bunch of cross chains, kind of looks like a ladder. So these are going to be a cable chain. So as you guys can see, we do have the cables here that connect all of the cross chains. And on the cross chains, we are going to have a low carbon steel roller. So these are going to be, not that aggressive when it comes to chains.
It is going to get you extra starting and stopping power. But these are definitely going to be for you guys, who aren't really dealing with the extreme conditions that winter may bring you. These are going to be pretty much for your lighter snow applications and they are going to get you a lot smoother ride compared to the more aggressive ones. These are SAE S class certified, so they really don't add a whole lot of height to your tire. So even if you don't have this much wheel well clearance, you don't have to worry about something happening and it hitting. These are a very low profile and a very smooth ride style chain. One thing I like about it, is just the fact that we don't have big old bulky links up and around my rim.
So if you guys are in a little bit heavier snow, let's just say, the more icy, crunchy type of snow, the stuff that you sink into, but then the walls push in on the sidewalls of your tires. This way, if that happens, we're not going to have those bulky links right around our rim. So you don't have to worry about them scratching or anything like that. The only thing that's really going to be in front of your rims, is going to be the rubber tensioner. Which, it's rubber, yes the hooks aren't rubber and the middle isn't rubber. But it is coated, so you guys don't really have to worry about that.
It's not going to affect anything. These don't come with the kit, but we do have them here at etrailer. So, other than that, we do have a kit that comes with these, meaning it comes with two. The one you see here, we have another one, it's the same exact one and it'll go on the same exact way, on the other side. They both come in a carrying case like this. This is not necessarily the worst carrying case, I definitely like it better than the canvas bags. Just because, one, it has a handle.
And two, we are going to have some zippers and hook and loop, to be able to get those all connected and in there. All in one spot. And we will have enough room in this bag to put the rubber adjusters as well. So you really don't have to worry about losing those. I would definitely say this is going to last, at least a season, maybe two. This isn't really a tool bag type material, not that heavy duty. But it's definitely up to par when it comes to a duffle bag type of material. So I definitely think it's going to last over the years. But other than that, let's just go ahead and show you guys how to install them.First things first, is lay out your chains, make sure they're not tangled up or anything. And then, one thing we need to take into account, these little hooks here. You can see there's a little slice here and that's the open side, that's where the hook clamps down. On the other end, it's nice and smooth. So I'm going to put this side facing down towards our tire. Just because it's going to prevent any unnecessary damage from happening. So once we figured that out, let's just go ahead. And you take the chains, grab them in the middle. We're going to drape them over our tire. Like this. We want to do our best to make sure it's nice and even, right and left. It's actually easy with the rollers, compared to other style chains. Now, we can go ahead and go round back and make our first connection. So we're going to want to go ahead and grab one side here. And then the other side, what we're going to do, is just put it through. And you rotate that bracket and as you pull it through, when it rotates back, it's going to catch itself. We have a little tab over here too, to pin up all the excess slack. Just like that. Now we can go around front and make the same connection. Same thing in the front, probably get a little better view of it. Just same deal. Go ahead and put that through the bracket. Try to get it as many as you can. Perfect. And we are going to have a little piece here again, to help that excess slack. But, we might not be able to reach it, which is fine. Totally fine. But I think I'm going to manage to get it hooked up. Perfect. So, we're not co
