If pairs of 37s working freightliners are what you like then you proberbly found yourself on the Felixstowe branch at some point. If you didnt make it that far East then have a look at these clips. Freightliners from all over the country bound for Felixstowe would arrive at Ipswich behind a single or a pair of 86s or class 90 , they would then be detatched where for a while a pair of Growlers would be dropped on the front to make the short dash to the terminal.
After working a service to the docks we see 37073 and a very smoky 37026 heading back to Ipswich.
Next we see 37154 and 37053 passing through Trimley with a service to Coatbridge. As 37053 pours on the power she seems to loose a bank of cylinders. After arrival at Ipswich two Class 86s are dropped on the front. 86627 and 86621 can be seen working the service forward at Ipswich.
Finally 37053 and 154 can be seen at Westerfield heading back to Felixstowe docks amidst some pretty bleak East Anglian countryside.
All these shots were filmed on 1st December 1993.
