24th Marine Expeditionary Unit's Maritime Raid Force conducted Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure exercises as part of Realistic Urban Training at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va. VBSS operations are primarily conducted by the Maritime Raid Force, a unit sourced from 2d Reconnaissance Battalion, for the purpose of Maritime Interdiction Operations. RUT is the first major pre-deployment training exercise for the 24th MEU in preparation for their deployment later this year.
