Hereby a DIY video about the lower unit installation. If you don't follow these steps, it's possible that you lock up your shift link at the lower unit, and have the issue I had, that the shift link is stuck.

The Yamaha FT8, F8 | 6HP, 8HP, and the 9.9HP will be the same. Building years 2002 until 2014.
The older or newer engines will be very similar.
