Our journey begins at the heart of Konya, where we find the mesmerizing Mevlana Rumi Tomb and Museum. Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi, or simply Rumi, was a great Anatolian mystic, poet, and the father of the Mevlevi Order. His teachings of love, tolerance, and spirituality have resonated around the world for centuries.
As we entered the complex, we were immediately struck by the tranquil and spiritual atmosphere. People from all walks of life, from different corners of the world, come here to pay their respects and feel the love of God.This is a passage leading to Mevlana Rumi’s Tomb and MuseumWe reached the beautiful courtyard The tomb itself is a masterpiece of Islamic architecture. It's beautifully decorated with intricate patterns, calligraphy, and vibrant tiles. The air is filled with a sense of reverence as visitors quietly reflect and offer their prayers.Right next to the tomb is the Mevlana Museum, which houses a vast collection of artifacts and historical documents related to Mevlana Rumi. It's incredible to see the manuscripts, clothing, and personal belongings of Mevlana Rumi.We were particularly struck by a beautifully illuminated Quran manuscript that dates back to Rumi's time. The level of detail and artistry is truly remarkable.It's like taking a step back in time and getting a glimpse into the life of this remarkable poet and mystic.One thing that stood out is the diverse group of visitors here. People from all backgrounds and beliefs are drawn to Mevlana Rumi's teachings of universal love and acceptance.
After spending some time in the museum, we made our way to the courtyard. It's a beautiful open space where visitors can sit and reflect, surrounded by lush gardens and the soothing sound of water fountains.
The whirling dervishes, with their graceful and mesmerizing spinning, symbolize a deep connection with the divine and serve as a reminder of the importance of inner spirituality.And now, our day at the Mevlana Rumi Tomb and Museum comes to an end.
