Zambia, an African country which got it's independence in 1964 joined the famous space race which was originally the game of the two cold war countries; The US and USSR. It lasted between 1959 to 1969.
Probably for the reason that they barely achieve something or because Zambian government didn't take it serious, it's barely heard of of spoken about.
Edward nkoloso makuka the director of the program, with the project, suffered from lack of fundings despite his great effort in sourcing for funds. The final thing that made the project collapse is his 17 year old space girl named Matha mwambwa who got impregnated at the camp.
