E3V VTOL fixed wing drone combines the long endurance advantage of a fixed wing aircraft with benefits of the multi-rotor’s vertical take-off and landing .The aircraft provides a safe, stable and efficient flight platform for aviation operations; suitable for the application of power line corridor mapping, urban planning, pipeline survey etc.
The structural design of the VTOL allows flight speed as low as 18 m/s; traditional fixed-wing UAVs or hybrid VTOLs are incapable of low speed flight.Unlike E3V, majority of fixed wing aircrafts are often incapable of effectively utilizing low-resolution cameras or sensors such as gas detector and low frame rate IR cameras.
The E3Vs airframe is completely modular and can be rapidly deployed .The aircraft can be conveniently transported in a single compact case.
Allows take off and landing in restricted spaces such as cities, forests or mountainous environments.
