Although not technically a walk, the Whanganui Journey is classified as one of New Zealand’s Great Walks. Spanning 145 km from Taumarunui to Pipiriki, this one-way canoe paddle typically takes 5 days to complete. However, many adventurers opt for a 3-day version, starting at Whakahoro and finishing at Pipiriki.
