(16 Jun 2018) France and Australia meet on Saturday for their first match in the 2018 World Cup, but action on the pitch started on Friday during a friendly match organised between fans of both nations.
The teams, organised over the internet and who hadn't yet played together, were in high spirits, with the French hoping their national squad's position as favourites would translate into a victory for the fans too.
But after the national anthems were sung and the game was underway, the Australian underdogs shocked with a strong performance, going on to win 6-2.
Many of them will be hoping a similar fate will await the real French squad on Saturday.
