A woman is dead after being shot while driving on N. Detroit Ave. in central Toledo overnight, according to Toledo Police.
TPD says they responded to reports from a shot spotter of shots being fired on North Detroit Ave. and Council Street around 1:45 a.m. Sunday morning .
When officers arrived on the scene they 28-year-old Catherine Craig suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Craig was treated at the scene and transported to a nearby hospital, where she later died as a result of her injuries.
Another woman in the car was also shot and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
