Bang on time running 12245 Kolkata Howrah Junction- Bangalore Yeshvantpur Junction DURONTO Express headed by its very regular loco in charge 22254 WAP- 4E of Santragachi (SRC) shed having a very very bad sore-throat takes the massive Khirai curve and accelerates towards Kharagpur Junction.... It was running at a controlled speed due to track maintenance work that was going on (its evident from the numerous number of gangmen, who runs for cover in the last moment). Khirai falls in the Howrah Junction- Kharagpur Junction territory of SER, and falls in the double line stretch between Panskura Junction- Kharagpur Junction (but work is going on in full swing for construction of third line).. At Panskura Junction, a line gets diverged towards Tamluk Junction. Again at Tamluk Junction, one line goes towards Digha F.S., and another line goes towards Haldia Port City. Btw, I was accompanied by fellow railfan Vivian Da (Vivian Boye).
