I am still trying to share about the tithes and offerings per Malachi chapter 3. But apparently, Malachi wanted to make sure that I was understanding fully what happened and so I was sent from Malachi to Nehemiah who sent me a step further to Amos.
While I knew that Ammon was the son of LOT, born of incest (his mom was the youngest daughter of Lot), what I did not know but what the Prophet Amos made sure I understood was totally unexpected.
What was even more unexpected was that this lesson that I learned was the total opposite of what my lesson for Day 29 of Counting the Omer was about.
Day 29 of Counting the Omer is known as Chesed sheb' Hod. It is about loving kindness in humility. But what I learned from Amos about the Ammonites was that there was no love, no kindness, and no humility because their actions was totally selfish.
Okay Im getting upset thinking about it, so let me just release this Unexpected Lesson.
