The farm is now in the 3rd generation and is currently run by 3 people.
There are also 8 employees who are working also for the two other business units of the farm: Biogas and Construction
The son is concentrating on the machines and the daughter is responsible for the animals.
In 2018 they have expanded the cattle from 220 to 350 dairy cows.
The breed is a 3 breed breeding from Holstein, Swedish Red and Montbéliard
It always has been an organic farm. In Summertime, the cows are kept for at least 12 hours a day, on the grassland.
The calves are kept in pens (pairs) for 6 days then in small group (max.5 calves in a group) for another 10 days. After this period they are moved into the barn with our automatic feeding system, where they also limit the group size to a maximum of 15 calves per teat and follow the in-out principle.
The advantage of this new system is, that they have little or no exposure to diseases in the barn. The main reason the family opted for an Urban automatic calf feeder Urban Alma Pro was they were convinced about our ring line system.
