Peter Brocks 9th and final Bathurst victory came in 1987 driving a Holden VL Commodore SS Group A along side co-driver David Parsons. David Parsons was driving the 05 Holden Dealer Team (HDT) Commodore when it broke down. So peter Brock and David Parsons took over the second Holden Dealer Team Commodore (#10) car and finished 3rd over the line behind the 2 Texico Ford Sierras. But after 3 months the 2 Texico Ford Sierras which finished 1st and 2nd were disqualified for illegal things on their cars, which gave Peter Brock his 9th and final Bathurst 1000 victory.
